Energy and Petroleum Engineering


The Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering at the University of North Dakota's College of Engineering & Mines offers the state's sole Petroleum Engineering degree program. This program is dedicated to providing an applied education and research environment focusing on both conventional and unconventional petroleum reserves, including the Bakken Formation. Accredited by ABET, the program equips students with essential problem-solving skills and practical experiences through hands-on training and opportunities to engage in experimental design and analysis. Students can also join the SPE student chapter, enhancing their professional development and network.
