Step 1 Knitting Class

Been meaning to plan to learn to knit "someday"? Now is the time! Our Step 1 Knit Class will give you the foundation you need while brushing up on basic skills if you're self-taught. Open to ages 12 +.

In just 4 weeks, you'll learn:

• To read a pattern, and how to choose yarn & needles
  
• The Long-Tail Cast On and Bind-Off
  
• Knit & Purl Stitches to create Garter Stitch, Rib, & Stockinette Fabrics
  
• How to use circular and double-point knitting needles

This class requires a little knitting at home, or knit only in class and register for Step 1 more than one month in a row. Most students are excited to move on to Step 2 by 2 or 3 sessions of Step 1.
