Land & Soil Evaluation Event

Participants engage in hands-on evaluations aimed at understanding soil factors and characteristics, empowering them to make informed decisions in land and resource management. Through this event, attendees gain insights into fundamental soil properties, the impact of physical and chemical factors on crop growth, and the varied responses of soils to management practices. Additionally, participants learn about the influence of topographic features on soil productivity and conservation, as well as effective soil and water conservation practices. The event's objectives include enabling participants to recognize soil physical features, determining land capability for crop production, evaluating management practices for proper stewardship, and exploring the relationship between soils, the environment, and daily life. Hosted annually in October by the West Cassia and East Cassia Soil & Water Conservation Districts in the Mini Cassia area, this event underscores the districts' commitment to agricultural education and community support.
